Woolies hats and pick 'n' mix

Bin bag capes, talcum powder hair, plastic hat with straggly hair.

That was about it for 90's kids.

HALLOWEEN  back then was mainly celebrated as a kid's party event.  Putting together a costume was a quick rummage through your house finding anything that resembled something a witch or vampire could wear.  Ghosts were popular too and hopefully a recently washed sheet was seen floating down the road!

Then it was off to Woolies to get your essential accessories.  Hats, masks, or maybe fangs to keep the little vampires happy.  Oh!  Not forgetting Woolies pick 'n' mix for trick or treating.

Woolies plastic hats never stayed on your head and mums had to be inventive, sticking them onto hair bands usually did the trick.

A witch and her cat

Ready to party. Bin bag, scarf, old leggings and a reassuring hand from daddy

Halloween  is so different today with lots of adults getting into party mode and shops full of  Halloween  paraphernalia.  Costumes are now available to buy even in supermarkets.  Pester power rules, with mum leaving the store with an overpriced costume.  Take a look in your wardrobe, being creative is part of the fun and a lot cheaper.

 Enjoying a creepy story.

Making spells.  Simple fun costumes that didn't cost the earth.

I'm looking forward to fun Halloween times with Soli 💙

Happy Halloween
